The role
The Business Development Manager will focus on increasing apprenticeship business by building strong relationships with employers and key stakeholders across regional and national sectors. They are responsible for identifying new opportunities, managing consultative sales processes, and aligning apprenticeship programmes with workforce development needs. The role requires engaging with senior decision makers in HR, L&D, Talent, Operations, and Finance to create strategic partnerships. They will utilise CRM tools to manage pipelines, forecast sales, and record activities, ensuring continuous follow-up and relationship nurturing. Collaboration with internal teams to deliver realistic proposals and representing the organisation at sector events are key components of this role. The ideal candidate possesses a proven track record in apprenticeship sales, a solid understanding of funding and levy systems, and excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
