A Database Administrator supports and maintains PostgreSQL and Oracle databases, focusing on performance optimisation, upgrades, migrations, and security in a hybrid remote setting. The role involves managing day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and assisting in platform enhancements using modern engineering and DevOps practices. Candidates should have strong PostgreSQL experience, familiarity with Oracle, Linux administration skills, and knowledge of cloud services like AWS or Azure. Additional experience with performance tuning, database security, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure is desirable. This position offers involvement in database modernisation projects and a flexible remote working arrangement in a collaborative environment.
