A DB2 Database Administrator with extensive Unix/Linux expertise is required to support and develop DB2 databases in open systems and mainframes. The role involves managing database performance, backups, recovery, and security, as well as participating in upgrades and disaster recovery exercises. Proficiency in troubleshooting, database monitoring, and environment management is essential, along with experience supporting Windows applications and cloud environments such as AWS. Candidates should have strong technical skills in database tools, IBM Data Studio, and replication technologies. The position demands excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication for collaborating with application teams and incident management.
