Senior Machine Learning Engineer - Global Payments (ANZ remote)

You will own the end-to-end development of ML systems for payments optimization, from feature design to deployment and monitoring.
Architect and ship decisioning and optimisation models that influence routing, retries, and fraud risk in high-stakes transactional environments.
Operate in a highly cross-functional setting with payments engineering, data science, fraud, and product teams to deliver measurable revenue and customer experience improvements.
Handle large-scale, noisy transactional data to build robust models and establish safe rollouts with strong governance.
Maintain best-in-class software engineering practices, including testing, APIs, versioning, and production readiness.
Demonstrate clear judgment on trade-offs and the ability to translate ambiguous problems into concrete, trackable deliverables.
