An Information Security Analyst monitors and investigates security alerts, manages security controls, and supports vulnerability management and user training initiatives. They assist with cyber risk assessments, conduct phishing simulations, and contribute to documentation and process development in security operations. The role requires familiarity with SIEM, EDR, email security, and vulnerability management systems, along with knowledge of security frameworks like ISO 27001 or NIST. Candidates should have 2-3 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles, with strong communication skills and a proactive approach. Working in fast-paced environments, they must show initiative, adapt to shifting priorities, and be eager to enhance their skills in evolving threats. A relevant qualification such as Security+ or similar is desirable, especially with experience in regulated environments like aviation.
