Environmental Credit Risk Senior Officer

Lead the environmental risk assessment for commercial real estate lending, reviewing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and related reports from qualified consultants.
Conduct collateral-asset analysis across real estate lending, management, and disposition processes, serving as the liaison between internal teams and external environmental data.
In default scenarios, obtain and evaluate Phase I ESAs and additional investigations from approved environmental firms.
Coordinate requests for proposals, define project scopes, award contracts, and review work products to ensure timely, compliant deliverables.
Perform independent research to augment environmental information and develop standardized documentation such as inspection checklists and questionnaires.
Support management with complex environmental reviews, remediation plans, and due diligence for acquisitions or audits, while qualifying environmental firms to work with the institution.
