De functie
An electrical engineer with 3 to 6 years of consultancy experience is sought for a role centred on electrical design for data centres and mission-critical projects in Norwich. The successful candidate will develop design calculations, specifications and drawings, ensuring compliance with UK and international standards while supporting technical documentation and site queries. Coordination with other disciplines will be essential, as will participation in design reviews and technical meetings. The role involves technical development in UK regulatory requirements and mentoring junior engineers, progressing towards full professional chartership. The engineer will also support construction-stage queries and participate in site visits, with a focus on data centre electrical systems and design principles. Knowledge of resilience concepts, power distribution, switchgear, and relevant standards like BS 7671 and IEC is required for success in this position.
