Backend Developer – Oxford

The Backend Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining server-side applications, APIs, databases, and cloud-based services to support digital healthcare products. The role involves working with relational and non-relational databases, developing automation pipelines, and contributing to the quality and security of software solutions within a regulated environment. The developer collaborates with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery of technical solutions aligned with product requirements. Candidates should possess strong back-end skills, experience with cloud platforms, and familiarity with secure API design, DevOps practices, and software lifecycle processes. Experience with containerisation, regulated healthcare systems, or scientific platforms is desirable, alongside a relevant STEM qualification.
