Role focuses on improving search quality for a large-scale mobile video platform by applying modern machine learning, NLP, and multimodal techniques.
Responsibilities include optimizing search results, aligning with product objectives, and enhancing ranking through query understanding, video understanding, and various ranking levels.
Build and maintain a full-stack search engine system and collaborate across teams to deliver impactful improvements.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a related field; proven experience in search or recommendation; strong coding skills in C++, Python, or Java.
Hard skills include NLP, ranking, ads, search engine concepts, recommender systems, machine learning, and data structures; cross-functional collaboration is valued.
Soft skills include effective communication, teamwork, problem-solving, curiosity, self-direction, and openness to ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
