Construction Estimator

As a Construction Estimator, you will lead bid strategy, participate in pre-bid meetings, and perform quantity takeoffs for heavy civil, commercial, and bridge projects.
Determine whether to self-perform or subcontract work, and solicit accurate bids from vendors, including DBE/SBE subcontractors.
Review plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports to develop cost estimates and analyze alternative construction methods.
Collaborate with the Department Manager on bid reviews and transfer estimate data to the project team after award.
Identify high-risk activities and integrate safety-related costs into estimates while aligning with preliminary schedules.
Requires 7+ years of heavy civil or commercial construction experience, strong plan-reading, accurate takeoffs, and proficiency with Primavera P6 and related tools.
