Staff Machine Learning Engineer, Personalization

As a Staff Machine Learning Engineer in Search and Discovery, you will apply the most advanced algorithms to improve product search quality, including query understanding, product understanding, user understanding, relevance modeling, candidate retrieval, and final ranking. You will be a leading expert in information retrieval, recommendation systems, ML, DL, or NLP, pragmatically solving challenging problems and delivering high-impact projects. Identify bottlenecks, quantify defects, and propose state-of-the-art solutions leveraging ML, DL, and large language models. Implement the solutions end-to-end and conduct AB tests to validate improvements. Be a thought leader who can gain consensus and influence cross-functional teams. Example projects include deep learning-based conversion prediction, two-tower embedding models for retrieval, BERT-based query classification/NER, neural relevance scoring, and graph algorithms to model latent query-document relationships.
