Senior Research Engineer, Collision Avoidance Modeling

You will design, develop, and maintain methods and software that evaluate collision risk in on-road logs and simulations by modeling crash dynamics and predictive agent behavior.
You will build labeling processes and simulation tools to extract parameters from logged conflict scenarios.
You will leverage scientific literature and real-world data to model evasive maneuvers and collision severity.
You will evaluate and report collision risk, recommending improvements to test realism, autonomy architecture, and mitigations.
You will work in a cross-functional product team, communicating risks and requirements clearly to engineers, operators, and program stakeholders.
You will contribute to validation, road testing, and the safety case to ensure robust, safe autonomy systems.
