A database administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server environments, supporting security, access management, backups, and recovery processes. They improve database performance, perform upgrades, and oversee migration projects. The role includes supporting high availability and disaster recovery solutions, along with participating in on-call support and incident management. Candidates should have extensive experience with MS SQL Server in complex enterprise settings, alongside skills in performance tuning, security, and cloud integrations such as Azure SQL.
