The Principal Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise-scale cloud platforms, primarily on Azure, including networking, security, and automation solutions. They lead technical discussions, develop infrastructure as code with Terraform, implement GitOps, and enhance developer experience through automation and mentorship. The role requires deep expertise in cloud architecture, Kubernetes, security, and scripting, with a focus on best practices and compliance. They communicate complex technical concepts effectively to stakeholders at all levels and guide technical teams through technical challenges. The position involves from-scratch cloud platform design, ensuring robust security, scalability, and efficiency across global deployments.
