Machine Learning Scientist II/Senior Scientist, Chemistry

Lead the design, development, and validation of models that predict phase behavior and physiochemical properties of chemical mixtures across temperature, hydration, and concentration gradients. Architect and own a generative lab-in-the-loop modeling pipeline that integrates input from formulation scientists and experimental feedback to propose the next experiments. Advance state-of-the-art chemistry ML methods, including chemical language models, reaction prediction, and electronic structure approaches like DFT. Own the data flow pipeline: define data standards, monitor data quality, and build visualizations to guide decisions. Act as a technical thought partner to chemists and lab personnel, translating scientific questions into modeling strategies and experimental designs. Collaborate cross-functionally to scale the platform from inception to a robust predictive engine supporting discovery.
