Die Stelle
As a Founding AI/ML Research Engineer, you will define the core model strategy, data pipelines, and scalable architectures for our upcoming consumer AI product.
You will design end-to-end training pipelines from data collection to evaluation and live inference, and prototype new model architectures or adapt frontier models.
You will deploy and optimize large models, employing state-of-the-art fine-tuning methods (LoRA/QLoRA, SFT, DPO) and building robust inference stacks (vLLM, TensorRT-LLM, DeepSpeed).
You will build high-quality data systems for synthetic and real-world training data, and shape safety, alignment, and guardrail strategies.
You will create evaluation frameworks covering performance, robustness, safety, and bias, and own deployment decisions around GPU usage, latency, and scaling policies.
This zero-to-one role offers autonomy to explore retrieval-augmented training, mixture-of-experts, multi-agent orchestration, and multimodal models while guiding early product direction.
