Associate Legal Counsel, Surety

Line 1: Independently manage simple-to-mid-level surety claims across Contract and Commercial sectors, identifying recovery opportunities to mitigate losses.
Line 2: Provide timely, practical legal counsel and transactional support to Surety Underwriters on underwriting matters, indemnity agreements, bonds, riders, and related documents.
Line 3: Draft or revise indemnity, counter-guarantees, international indemnity deeds/agreements, risk participation and reimbursement agreements, and banking/surety documents with limited supervision.
Line 4: Build strong cross-functional relationships with underwriting and operations teams globally; coordinate with outside counsel as needed; support periodic claims reporting and education sessions.
Line 5: Obtain and maintain required state adjuster licenses; participate in surety industry groups and local events; contribute to cross-border risk and underwriting alignment.
Line 6: Leverage data, analytics, and basic AI knowledge to improve processes and support a fast-paced, service-driven environment.
