Environmental Compliance Officer

Lead the municipal environmental compliance program across properties and facilities, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
Oversee environmental monitoring, investigations, and cleanup projects for soil and groundwater contamination, coordinating with consultants and regulators.
Assess properties for acquisitions, sales, or leases through site screening, historical data review, sampling, and risk assessment.
Develop and manage program budgets, forecast resources, and supervise staff, providing coaching and performance development.
Provide technical support to Planning and other departments on toxics, hazardous materials, and development compliance, reviewing EIRs and remediation plans.
Represent the municipality in regulatory forums, communicate with stakeholders, and prepare technical reports and recommendations for decision-makers.
