Head of Mechanical Engineering

Lead product design and engineering using CAD and DFM/DFA to ensure production readiness.
Define wood joinery using traditional Japanese fitting techniques optimized for intuitive non-expert assembly.
Establish ECO/ECR processes and reliability test plans covering thermal cycling, moisture exposure, and shipping vibration.
Coordinate interface control with electrical engineering for heaters, sensors, and chiller/battery provisions; establish packaging and flatpack logistics requirements.
Manage design tolerances and mechanical analysis, including stackup studies, FEA validation, fastener/adhesive selection, and mitigation strategies for corrosion and thermal expansion.
Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical/controls teams and manage supplier relationships to align thermal systems, product protection, and on-time delivery.
