Role: Android Mobile Developer responsible for designing and building high-quality Android apps in a fast-paced environment in New York, NY.
Requires 3+ years of Android app development with strong knowledge of the Android SDK and across multiple Android versions and screen sizes.
Develops and consumes RESTful APIs to connect apps to back-end services and implements robust UI following material design principles.
Focus on offline storage, threading, performance tuning, and natural user interfaces, including touch interactions and sensor usage (gyroscopes and accelerometers).
Experience with Unix/Linux, relational databases, object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, version control (Git), and CI workflows.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and optimize apps for push notifications and cloud messaging.
