Senior AI Platform Engineer

The Senior AI Platform Engineer is responsible for defining and implementing the infrastructure strategy supporting large language model programmes. This role involves technical leadership across compute, data, model management, evaluation frameworks, and platform engineering, ensuring research innovations are scalable and secure for production. The engineer collaborates with research, product, infrastructure, data engineering, and MLOps teams to design and operate platforms for training, evaluating, and deploying AI systems across healthcare applications. Key duties include managing AI platform roadmaps, designing high-performance compute environments on cloud and on-premises platforms, and optimising workloads for performance and scalability. They establish lifecycle management for models and datasets and lead technological evolution within their infrastructure, committing to operational excellence and best practices. The role suits a technically proficient individual with deep knowledge of AI architectures, GPU infrastructure, distributed training, and cloud services, capable of leading complex initiatives and influencing stakeholders.
