Senior Data Scientist – LOD3x Building Extraction, AI & Optimization

Design and prototype practical pipelines for LOD3x building extraction from photogrammetric meshes, gaussian splats, and point clouds. Create datasets of LOD3x buildings, meshes, point clouds, and gaussian splats for rigorous statistical evaluation. Develop quantitative metrics and manage leaderboards to compare pipeline variations and parameter settings. Collaborate with stakeholders and developers on productization, including geoprocessing tool parameters, Python APIs, and documentation. Partner with C++ engineers to translate prototypes into production-grade implementations and design automated tests. Present findings at user and developer conferences and contribute to ongoing R&D in 3D AI and optimization.
