A database administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server environments across on-premise and cloud platforms. Their duties include supporting database security, access management, patching, backup and recovery processes, as well as delivering improvements, upgrades, and migration projects. They work on supporting high availability and disaster recovery solutions, participating in on-call support and incident management. The role requires strong experience with MS SQL Server in complex enterprise environments, along with expertise in performance tuning, security, and Azure SQL. Knowledge of scripting, PowerShell, and ITIL service management practices are essential. The position involves technical environment management, ensuring database stability, security, and performance optimization.
