Structural Designer II

Under close supervision, perform structural design tasks for projects involving concrete, steel, masonry, and wood with professional judgment and application of engineering techniques.
Assist in gathering data, performing standard computations, and preparing drawings and visual aids with guidance.
Support construction activities and coordinate with internal project teams to meet project goals and schedules.
Participate in project management activities including understanding tasks, time management, and escalation of scope or schedule changes.
Develop QA/QC awareness, client service expectations, and familiarity with project financial performance metrics to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
Attend meetings with senior engineers, contribute to mentoring junior staff, and help define SOPs for engineering and drawing standards.
