Provide accurate on-site interpretation between English and designated target languages across education, medical, legal, and community settings.
Work as a 1099 independent contractor with per diem, flexible scheduling, and professional growth opportunities in specialized fields.
Uphold confidentiality, information security, and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA) while adhering to industry ethics.
Continuously expand subject-matter vocabulary in medical, legal, and social services to meet client needs and ensure quality interpretation.
Foster positive interactions with patients, clients, and healthcare or legal staff, demonstrating neutrality, professionalism, and cultural competence.
Requirements include US work authorization, 21+ years, bilingual with strong listening and note-taking skills; familiarity with HIPAA; and preferred completion of a 60-hour Medical Interpreter Training.
