Database Administrator – Derby

A Database Administrator (DBA) is sought to manage critical data migration projects and optimise system performance on a contract basis. The role involves supporting and troubleshooting complex data environments, conducting performance tuning, and analysing SQL Server architecture. Candidates should possess extensive experience with SQL Server 2016 and above, demonstrate strong T-SQL skills, and have familiarity with Azure migrations and PowerShell scripting. Daily tasks include SQL analysis, support for application data needs, and strategic system evaluation. The position is mostly remote with minimal in-office requirements, offering a six-month initial contract with the possibility of extension. The role requires proactive problem-solving skills and experience with modern architecture practices.
