Carpenter – Tynemouth

A carpentry professional is sought to perform reactive maintenance and 2nd fix tasks within domestic properties in Tynemouth and surrounding areas. The role involves tasks such as hanging doors, replacing architraves, and installing skirting boards, primarily focused on maintenance and repair work. The candidate should have relevant qualifications like City and Guilds or NVQ in carpentry or joinery, and preferably hold a CSCS card. Experience in social housing or council property maintenance is advantageous, along with willingnes to undertake online courses in asbestos awareness, working at heights, manual handling, and abrasive wheels. The position offers a six to eight-week contract with potential extension, working weekdays from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, at an hourly rate of £22 umbrella. Effective communication with tenants and attention to detail are essential qualities for success in this role.
