Machine Learning Engineer – Edinburgh

A Machine Learning Engineer is sought to develop AI systems specialising in computer vision, data pipelines, and deployment, supporting the expansion of an AI-driven platform. The engineer will work on image recognition and similarity techniques, as well as traditional computer vision methods like object detection, ensuring reliable function at scale. Responsibilities include designing data pipelines for RAG, internal tools, and content workflows, with experience in vector stores or scalable data workflows valued. They will also maintain AI infrastructure, deploying models via APIs, and monitoring performance across cloud platforms, with AWS experience advantageous. The role involves close collaboration with the founder on product development and technical strategy, offering scope for leadership as the company grows. It is based remotely within the UK with occasional travel to partner sites, offering a salary range of £50,000 to £70,000 plus share options.
