Substation Electrician - General Construction, Journey Level (All Regions)

Position is a journey-level Substation Electrician – General Construction, covering assignments across all regions.
Responsibilities include reviewing and verifying prints and electrical schematics, laying out materials, and installing high-voltage equipment, conduit, and supporting structures.
Operate hand and power tools, perform safety prep including high-voltage protective grounding, set up rigging, and, if qualified, use construction equipment such as crane trucks or bucket trucks.
Move equipment to staging areas, drive to multiple job sites, maintain a clean and safe work area, and support on-site material handling and tooling.
Travel across the service territory is required; work can be outdoors in varying weather and schedules may include overtime.
Qualifications: 18+, HS diploma or GED, valid California CDL Class C at minimum (Class A preferred/permit where required), completion of a Union-sanctioned JATC Inside Wireman Apprenticeship, ability to pass pre-employment tests, and 3–5 years’ journey-level experience in relevant electrical construction.
