A DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, maintaining and optimising infrastructure and pipelines that support complex financial software platforms. They collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure robust, secure and scalable environments, managing deployments and environments seamlessly. Candidates should possess strong scripting skills and hands-on coding experience with languages such as PowerShell, C#, Java or Python. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, especially with tools like TeamCity and deployment automation with Octopus Deploy, is essential. Experience working across Windows and Linux environments, along with SQL Server management, is highly beneficial. Knowledge of cloud providers, VMware, and storage area networks complements technical expertise in this role.
