They oversee the planning and implementation of IT audits to thoroughly assess technology and data risks, utilising analytical tools and data insights to enhance assurance. The role involves evaluating controls related to access management, cyber security frameworks, and business continuity plans, ensuring compliance with recognised standards such as ISO 27001. The manager collaborates with internal teams to develop risk mitigation strategies, produce detailed audit reports, and advise on large-scale IT transformation initiatives. Ideal candidates have extensive experience in IT audit, strong leadership skills, and relevant professional qualifications like CISA or CISSP. They possess a keen analytical mind, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to ongoing risk awareness and technical development.
