Estimator – Coventry

An Estimator in construction is responsible for preparing precise cost estimates for residential and commercial projects by analysing drawings, specifications, and documents. The role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure accurate project scoping and pricing from initial concept to project completion. Responsibilities include detailed material and labour take-offs, evaluating quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, and preparing tender submissions and budgets. The Estimator monitors project costs, reviews tender portals, and maintains a cost database to stay current with market rates. A strong understanding of construction methods, skills in estimating software, and excellent analytical abilities are essential. Experience in modular or off-site construction and a relevant degree are preferred.
